Attractions in Snowdonia

THE QUEENS HOTEL - HARLECH Spectacularly sited Harlech Castle seems to grow naturally from the rock on which it is perched. Like an all seeing sentinel, it gazes out across land and sea, keeping a watchful eye over Snowdonia.
Criccieth Castle, standing on its headland between two beaches, is a prominent North Wales landmark. It is also a landmark historic site, one of those rare castles with a foot firmly in both camps and a true testament to the varying fortunes of war.
Caernarfon is a beautiful castle in North Wales near the Menai Strait. Another creation by King Edward I, most of the city is walled as well, giving the entire area an impressive look.
Portmeirion is an Italianate resort village on the coast of Snowdonia, Wales, most notable for its use as the location of the television show The Prisoner.
It was designed and constructed over the period from 1925 to 1975 by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis (1883-1978).

Llechwedd Slate Caverns offer a choice of two spectacular rides into the vast slate mines of Blaenau Ffestiniog. The Miners' Underground Tramway, which in 1972 pioneered the opening of the Mines to visitors, has now carried over 3 million people, including members of the Royal Family, to explore the 1846 network of tunnels and unbelievably large caverns.
The Ffestiniog Railway is the oldest railway company in the world. Built in 1836 to carry slate from the mines of Blaenau Ffestiniog to the harbour at Porthmadog, it was closed in 1946, before being restored and reopened in 1982.
Founded in 1894, Royal St David's is a challenging championship course which is set among the dunes at Terming Bay on the west coast of Wales. Harlech Castle overlooks the course which has great views of the Snowdon Mountains. Large greens are a feature of this course along with a succession of testing par four holes and five par threes. Royal St David's was host to the 2002 Welsh Amateur Championship.

Royal St Davids is a 6571 yards par 69 course.
