Llechwedd Slate Caverns offer a choice of two spectacular rides into the vast slate mines of Blaenau Ffestiniog. The Miners' Underground Tramway, which in 1972 pioneered the opening of the Mines to visitors, has now carried over 3 million people, including members of the Royal Family, to explore the 1846 network of tunnels and unbelievably large caverns. |

The Ffestiniog Railway is the oldest railway company in the world. Built in 1836 to carry slate from the mines of Blaenau Ffestiniog to the harbour at Porthmadog, it was closed in 1946, before being restored and reopened in 1982. |

Founded in 1894, Royal St David's is a challenging championship course which is set among the dunes at Terming Bay on the west coast of Wales. Harlech Castle overlooks the course which has great views of the Snowdon Mountains. Large greens are a feature of this course along with a succession of testing par four holes and five par threes. Royal St David's was host to the 2002 Welsh Amateur Championship.
